About Flynn Tutoring Academy
Flynn Tutoring Academy is a local tutoring centre that has been helping learners since 2019. FTA was created to give learners patient, structured academic support, helping them strengthen their understanding, work through learning gaps and build confidence at a manageable pace.
Learners can expect focused sessions, clear explanations, encouragement and accountability. Our aim is to help each learner become more consistent and capable in the classroom.

Flynn Tutoring Academy began while I was at university, when I started tutoring two friends who were in Grade 11. Both later went on to university. As their results improved, some of their classmates joined, followed by other family members and friends. Teachers also began recommending FTA, and the word continued to spread.
I later formalised FTA so that we could help more learners through structured lessons and carefully prepared resources. After completing my Financial Accounting degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), I began operating the business full time.
I am passionate about seeing learners improve, and I work hard to ensure that every learner at Flynn Tutoring Academy receives the best support we can provide. Seeing our learners grow in confidence and become more assured in their work brings me great joy.
Today, I work alongside a professional team and have introduced clear systems to serve families consistently and help struggling learners make meaningful progress sooner. FTA now offers both in-person and online tutoring through Microsoft Teams. This grew from increased demand and allows learners who have moved out of the area to continue learning with us.
